Registration

Participation is completely free, and there is no registration fee.

To be an instructor in this competition, one must hold a valid teaching certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, though teachers from any subject area are eligible.
Instructors must first create an account (including their affiliated school) before entering student information, and the teacher must be from an education ministry-approved school.

The instructors may represent multiple teams across schools and every divisions (e.g., Teacher A who teaches at a certain junior high school is allowed to represent lead other teams from other elementary schools, senior high schools, and vocational high schools)

Teams can consist of members from different schools or classes.

Yes, it is encouraged.

According to the competition rules, teams in the Elementary, Junior High, and High School Division CANNOT consist only 1 member, 2 to 4 members per team required.

Competition

Internet poll results are not considered in the final evaluation for the competition.

Works from all divisions can be submitted as long as they have not been previously published or awarded. Details among each division are as follows:
  • Elementary Division: Submissions must be drawings. As these differ from other science fair format, drawings that have not been publicly presented or awarded are eligible for submission, and no description is required.
  • Junior High, High, and Vocational High School Divisions: If the submitted work includes previously published content but has new or extended material, a "Continuity of Scientific Inquiry" form must be completed (download here), outlining the differences from previous works.
  • Educator and Higher Education/ Society Divisions: Submissions that have not been publicly presented or awarded are eligible. If any part of the project (such as lesson plans) has been previously published, the differences must be noted at the end of the submission, with proper citations of prior work.

Yes, digital drawing tools are allowed, but the artwork should not include photos.

If you complete the registration and successfully upload your work to the official website, a notification email will be sent to team instructor. Additionally, you can check your submission status in the backend of the website.

Early submission of your work is recommended. The competition will not address cases of upload failure due to time constraints.

Yes, Englishworks are accepted, but an abstract and video translation in Chinese (Tradidional) are required.

Yes, previously selected works can participate, provided they did not rank in the top 10 and have been modified based on the judges' feedback.

The uploaded video must be in MP4 format and playable in Google Chrome (please check playback before submission). If the video doesn't play, we recommend using Convert-video-online (https://video-converter.com/tw/) to convert and re-upload it. Note: If the video doesn't play in Chrome, the format is incorrect—please verify and re-upload.

The organizers provide a sample video tutorial (click to download) for teachers and students. Please note the following filming guidelines:
  1. Videos must be shot in landscape (not portrait).
  2. Video format: MP4; Resolution: 1920x1080.
  3. Video length: 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. File size: No more than 250MB.

If the source of the material is known, please credit it in the video. If the source is unknown, state "sourced from the internet.
Research Result

According to the competition’s evaluation rules, 2 points will be taken.

Works from all divisions can be submitted as long as they have not been previously published or awarded.
