Educator Division: Rules
- This competition has no regional restrictions. Participants from overseas countries outside Taiwan are welcome to register. Cross-school teams are allowed, and cross-national teams are also encouraged.
- Only students’ ages 9 to 12 (3rd to 6th grade in Taiwan; 4th to 6th grade in the US; year 5 to 7 in the UK) are allowed to participate. The team may be formed cross-school. However, 9 to 10 years old students and 11 to 12 years old students must team up separately. Participants have to discover scientific issues in life, and present the scientific principles, exploration process or the impact by drawing comics, along with a video and presentation slides as auxiliaries.
- Please create comics within 5 pages using A4 size paper according to the format of the competition, the drawing styles are not limited but cannot present photos, copied pictures or texts. If the comics exceed 5 pages, 3 to 5 points will be taken. Please scan the drawings, turn them into a PDF file to upload.
- For the preliminary submission stage, participants must also upload a video of 3 to 5 minutes (if the video is shorter or longer, 1 point will be deducted). The video must explain the concept and meaning of the work. The video should be in mp4 format with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (if the resolution does not meet the requirement, 1 point will be deducted). The video should be filmed in landscape orientation (vertical filming will result in a 2-point deduction). The file size after compression must not exceed 250MB. Failure to upload the video will result in losing the 30 points.
- Participants must adhere to intellectual property laws and provide proper attribution for all referenced sources within their work. Any consequences resulting from the use of unauthorized references or violations of intellectual property rights will be the sole responsibility of the participants.
- Teams selected as finalists must attend the final presentation and awards ceremony. Each team will have 15 minutes: 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
- Works scoring above 70 points will receive a "Certificate of Selection" awarded in the name of the event.

Phase 1 - Preliminary Round:
Judges review the submissions, provide feedbacks, and assign scores. The number of judges will depend on the number of submissions, and after peer reviews. The top 6 teams advance to the final round, where live presentations will be scored to determine Gold(1 team), Silver(2 teams), Bronze(3 teams). Teams ranked 7th-10th will be considered "Honorable mention", 11st-15th will be considered "Commendations" and are not required to present in the final but will attend the awards ceremony. -
Phase 2 - Final Round:
Three judges will evaluate the final teams' projects and live presentations. Scores will determine the rankings, and results will be posted on the competition website. Judges will evaluate based on criteria set by the organizers shown in the following tables
